A new ERASMUS+ Bilateral Agreement has signed between Şırnak University and Miguel Hernández University, Elche, Spain which will provide academic collaboration and exchange opportunities for both institutions.
Şırnak University, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teacher Training is pleased to announce the signing of a new ERASMUS+ bilateral agreement with Universitas Miguel Hernández (UMH), . This agreement was made possible through the initiative of Research Assistant Ayşegül Rosa Aksoy from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teacher Training, with the invaluable support and guidance of Şırnak University ERASMUS Institutional Coordinator Dr. Sabriye Özkan, as well as Dr. Raúl Reina, Dr. Alba Roldán, and Susi Olivares Soto from UMH.
Notably, this is the first and only bilateral agreement that Miguel Hernández University has signed with a university from Türkiye. This marks a significant milestone for our institution.
Miguel Hernández University is a Spanish public university recognized for its commitment to education, research, and student development. Established in 1996, the university is located in the Alicante region and is named after the Spanish poet Miguel Hernández. It comprises seven faculties, including the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, which stands out for its academic achievements.
The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences consists of 100 faculty members and currently enrolls approximately 1,500 students. The Bachelor program in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences provides students with a strong scientific foundation to analyze and interpret human motor functions Graduates can pursue academic careers through the faculty’s master’s and doctoral programs.
We believe this agreement will create new opportunities and foster collaboration between students and scholars from both institutions.
