May 10-16 Disability Awareness Week was adopted by the United Nations in 1982 and is observed with various events in 192 member countries. In our country, it is recognized as a week of awareness towards individuals with disabilities, and various activities are organized during this week. For this reason, Research Assistant Ayşegül Rosa AKSOY from our Vocational School organized a film screening event. 

The film featured the work of "Cycling Without Age", a social innovation initiative founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, and active in 41 countries that supports elderly individuals' participation in social life through physical activity and promotes active aging. This marked the film's first screening in Türkiye. The film was translated into Turkish by Research Assistant Ayşegül Rosa AKSOY. The original title "Cycling Without Age" was adapted as "Pedallamanın Yaşı Yok" by Dr. Hasan Fehmi ÖZDEMİR, a scholar of the Physical Education and Sports Teacher Training Department. The film is planned to be screened under this Turkish title at various events. 

Following the screening, an interview was conducted with Ole KASSOW, founder of Cycling Without Age. Kassow shared the story behind the initiative and answered questions from the audience.
